TEMN's environmental management experience include:
Preparation of Generic Terms of Reference for Environmental Impact Assessments for the National Environment and Planning Agency
Twenty nine Generic Terms of Reference (TOR) were prepared, applicable to Prescribed Development
projects under the NRCA Act of 1991. The generic TORs outlined the aspects of an EIA which when thoroughly
addressed would provide a comprehensive evaluation of the site, in terms of predicted environmental impacts,
needed mitigation strategies, potentially viable alternatives to the development proposed and all related legislation.
Review and rewriting of the Environment chapter of the Developers Manual
TEMN was engaged by National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) to rewrite the Environment
Chapter in the Developers Manual. The chapter outlined the legislative and institutional framework within
which the developer must operate. In addition, the chapter defined the types of applications related to
environmental management and the categories of enterprise, construction or development prescribed in law
which require permits or other instruments, such as, licences for them to be established. Guidance on
environmental considerations and on existing facilities which from time to time request "environmental clearance"
from NEPA will also be provided for developers
